The figure 8 desktop fastener is an easy to install tool for securing table or desktops. Very Simple in Design-these flat fasteners are shaped like two washers that got crushed in a press somewhere, ending up with a figure-eight shape. By recessing one washer into the top of your vertical piece, you use the other washer to attach to the horizontal.
It is made with the high quality of die casting steel (almost 1/8" thick) coated with zinc for rusting and corrosion resistance. Each fastener measures 1.29" x 0.78" x 12 gauge (~1/8") thick.
It reduces Wood Splitting - Securely fastens wooden table surface to its rails, while providing a pivot point to accommodate seasonal wood movement. The fastener can be used in table tops, desk tops, cabinet fronts, drawer fronts or arts and craft.
