The actual Villeroy & Boch bowls and under-plates you are bidding on
are
shown
in the photos.  The bowls each measure 5 1/4" in diameter
and
are all in very good antique
condition without any chips, cracks
or
repairs.
T
he underplates, which are the bread and butter
plates to the
pattern,
measure 6" in diameter and are only in good antique
condition.  These plates are more faded than the bowls and 2
of them are slightly discolored with some crazing on the obverse
side.
These conditions can all be seen in the 5th - 8th photos.
Any
light areas or
shadows
in
the photos are
camera glare.
There is some debate on when the Rouen pattern was manufactured.
It is my understanding that following the separation of the Saar region
from the German Reich in 1920, as a result of the First World War,
the factories there were no longer available to Villeroy & Boch.
