    Description

    Up for auction is a Wheaton desiccator. The body is 5.5" in diameter with lid being the same. ID is 4" and the two Coors porcelain pieces are 3 and 5/8ths". The height with lid in place is 7".
    The two Coors porcelain pieces are hard to find. One separates the desiccant and the other holds crucibles which would contain the substance to be dried. The lid was usually sealed to the body of the desiccator with a layer of petroleum jelly or other sealing substance.
