    This is a
    vintage original Rev. Draft script
    from the classic 1960's/1970's family-themed TV sitcom,
    MY THREE SONS
    . It is from
    Season 11, Episode 18
    , which was entitled
    Ernie Drives
    , in which Ernie (Barry Livingston) and Elmore (Butch Patrick) look forward to driving their girlfriends on a date after they pass their driving test and have licenses. However, the boys do not pass the test, and the girls do. Ernie & Elmore end-up stranded at the end of the date. The cast includes Fred MacMurray, William Demarest, Don Grady, Stanley Livingston, Beverly Garland, Tina Cole, Dawn Lyn, John Carter, Vicki Cos, and Diane Quinn.
    Written by Paul West, this First Draft script was dated 6-2-70 with three revisions, the most recent of which was dated 6-26-70. It consists of 39 pages with the first draft pages on white stock and the revised pages on goldenrod and blue stock. It appears that the script was originally stapled in the top left corner (as there are no 2- or 3-hole punch marks along the left edges).
    Of particular interest is that it appears that THIS SCRIPT BELONGED TO CAST MEMBER BUTCH PATRICK
    , as his character's name ("Elmore") is handwritten in pencil in the top right corner of the title page along with the notation "starts on Pg 5." The first appearance of Patrick's character does start on page 5 and
    he underlined his character's name and put brackets around his dialogue with red ballpoint pen throughout the script (the last notation in on page 31)
    . This vintage original Rev. Draft script is complete in overall good+ condition, with a small crease on the bottom right corner of every page; two pieces of clear tape on the top left corner of the title page (presumably where the original staple was); an area of handwriting in red ink near the lower left corner on the title page (presumably in Butch Patrick's hand); small coffee (?) stains on page 7; and other areas of light wear along the edges. All of the pages are loose.
    The producers or director apparently liked Butch Patrick, as he had previously played Ernie's friend "Gordon" in several episodes.
